Originally, this piece was called “The Who and The Why,” but I just could not bring myself to write it the way I wanted. I was so bogged up in trying to create the right perceptions and choose the perfect words that it became hard to see why exactly I had wanted to do this in the first place and, to be honest with you, I wasn’t entirely sure at first. But, as I sit here writing this, I do know.
I haven’t ever been the most confident person, though I’m sure most would not suspect that. Our lives are all about perception in that way. Some of us spend so much time working on our outward perceptions that we often forget to take care of the interior – which is why I am writing this now. This is my first step in becoming more in-tune with not only myself, but also the things I want in life, of which there are many.
Moving forward, I hope to produce for you some real quality work. I could try to give you a clue as to what this project holds for me, or what I think may come next, but you are just as in the dark as I am about that one. Writing for me comes and goes like waves on the shore, and it is out my hands when something will wash up, but I can guarantee that each time it will be relentless in its pursuit to draw you into that vast, unexplored world below the surface in search of more.
